Absolute Top Position

Absolute Top Position is a metric available in Google search ads that tells you the percentage of impressions you’ve received while in the #1 position on the search results page. If your Absolute Top Position score is 100% then that means that every time your ad has been shown it has been in the #1 position. If you are only shown in the #1 position 25% of the time it might be a signal to increase your bids. The image below shows the difference between ads that are in the “top” position and an ad that is in the “absolute top position”.
